Presidential Debate 1 Post #17
After watching and reviewing the presidential debate I didn’t think one was better than the other. McCain and Obama discuss the economy, the war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, and energy (drilling-McCain and nuclear-Obama). As for my issue on healthcare, John McCain mentions that he doesn’t want to hand it over to the government. He wants to keep it between the people and their doctors. He talks about cutting spending and how Obama is planning on using $800 billion on spending programs. Reading through the debate I John McCain mentions situations and crisis’ he has gone through that in my opinion make him well qualified to be the next president. John McCain has been through a war and was a prisoner of war. He knows what it’s like and how it feels. He was also involved in virtually every major national security challenged in the past 20 some years. The debate all in all was a good one but it didn’t really answer any of my questions about healthcare. I hope the one on Thursday will do a better job.
